报告摘要：

The notion of Mathieu subspaces was introduced by the speaker in 2009, which can be viewed as a natural but highly non-trivial generalization of the notion of ideals of associative algebras. In this talk we will discuss the definition, motivations, and some recent developments of Mathieu subspaces. Furthermore, some open problems on Mathieu subspaces, especially, the connections of Mathieu subspaces with the famous Jacobian conjecture, will also be discussed. The talk will be introductory and accessible to the general audience.

报告人简介：

赵文华，伊利诺伊州立大学数学系教授。主要研究方向为多项式自同构及雅克比猜想，顶点算子代数。在Adv. in Math., Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.等期刊发表论文30余篇。
