报告摘要：

In this talk, I will discuss the local multiplicity problem for spherical varieties. I will go over the general conjecture for the multiplicity and all the known results. I will also discuss how to use the multiplicity formula to prove the results in some lower rank cases.

报告人简介：

万忱，2013年本科毕业于南京大学，2017年博士毕业于美国明尼苏达大学。博士毕业之后在2017-2020年期间先后在普林斯顿高等研究院和麻省理工大学做博后。从2020年至今在罗格斯大学纽瓦克分校担任助理教授。研究方向是朗兰兹纲领。主要成果发表在Duke Mathematical Journal，Journal of the European Mathematical Society，Memoirs of the American Mathematical Society等重要数学期刊。
